The hospital management at LUMC chose Tempus600 solution to run blood samples effeciently.
The first TEMPUS600 TA is already installed in the phlebotomy department at Leiden University hospital (LUMC), the Netherlands. The system will soon be connected directly to GLP system in the laboratory and the connection module is prepared for additional 5 systems.
The hospital management at LUMC believes in the fully automated laboratory solution which allows you to run blood samples after an efficient ‘first in first out’ (FIFO) principle. It frees up competencies and leads to a faster treatment of the patient.
LUMC is the first hospital in the Netherlands to connect TEMPUS600 solution directly to GLP. With this dedicated point-to-point system, it is possible to dispatch the blood samples directly from the ward to the lab. This means fewer work procedures, fewer hands on the blood sample tubes and safer handling of the blood samples.
The connection to GLP will be carried out by TEMPUS Benelux and Telecom and the system will be tested and new routines implemented within the next three months.
