Celebrating the Opening Day of Tempus Asia 6th June 2014

On 6 June 2014, we celebrated the grand opening of Tempus Asia Co. Ltd in Bangkok, Thailand. Although it was a hot day in Bangkok, it did not spoil the grand spirit and the enthusiasm by all the PCL staff led by Pisit Wannavithapaya, Tempus Asia staff led by Paul Lebrun, as well as Daniel Blak from Timedico. The activities on that day rolled out by three events; we had a blessing ceremony in the morning by Buddhist Monks, then, it was followed by a media press conference, lastly at night, we celebrated with friends and distinguished guests from hospitals and public health bureaus.
The grand opening ceremony started out in the morning with the presence of H.E. Ambassador Mikael Hemniti Winther and his associates from The Royal Danish Embassy. H.E. Ambassador Winther witnessed a blessing ceremony, together with the hosts, by a panel of nine Buddhist Monks. They chanted prayers and offered sincere blessings to us and to the new building in which the Tempus Asia team will then occupy; it was an emotional moment as we learned these Buddhist Monks were of majestic stature in holiness. Then, the management representatives of Tempus Asia spoke on stage and shared with the teams the reasons, the mission, and where Tempus Asia want to be in the future. The ceremony were followed by a ribbon-cutting celebration and the unveiling of plaque which symbolized the official opening.

In the afternoon session, we were greeted by about 10 media representatives from the press and television, at the Residence of H.E. Ambassador Winther of The Royal Danish Embassy. The management team share with the media about the Tempus600 product and more importantly, how this product can help hospitals in Thailand become more efficient so they can focus more on the patients. The question and answer session provided the representatives of the media to probe more into the reason of establishing the joint-venture partnership in Thailand. There was a photography session as well as a demonstration of the Tempus600 in action. This provided a great platform for Tempus Asia to promote through media channels and to reach into the medical community of Thailand.

The evening session began at around 18:00 with the arrival of distinguished guests, hospital directors and administrators, representatives from Ministry of Public Health, and the Thai Food and Drugs Administration; a true VIP session. The host H.E. Ambassador Mikael Hemniti Winther delivered opening remarks followed by Mr. Pisit and Mr. Daniel Blak. It was also an honor for everyone attending to hear observations from Siriraj Hospital, our first customer in Thailand. We had also enjoyed a more relaxing speech from the former Vice-Minister of Health, he shared with us his personal views and welcoming remarks on the collaboration between two countries, Thailand and Denmark. The evening then emerged into a social gathering with plenty of opportunities for everyone to mingle with one another, at the same time enjoying fine wine and brilliant delicacy from Denmark, all of this blended into the delightful trio playing soft music for us. All the guests felt right at home and we are convinced that the guests will remember this night. The benefit seemed to be mutual, we have noticed a lot of hospital directors took immediate interest in the Tempus600 because this was such a novel idea and a practical product: “This is just what I was looking for!”

The day turned out to be an absolute success, all the objectives of Tempus Asia’s expectations were met; not only did we created awareness for business opportunities, but we have also solidified the relationships between Tempus Asia and hospital stakeholders. The Tempus Asia management team thank all the staff from PCL Holding and Tempus Asia for all the detailed work they have done, for without you, this day cannot happen. This grand opening day provided us an excellent platform to begin our adventure known as Tempus Asia, what is much more important is to capitalize on what we have learned, whom we have known, and what we have created.
